Plant Physiology - Nienhuis AMI
Plant Physiology - Nienhuis AMI
The study of plant physiology includes the internal functions of plants. The material in this program package is a broad introduction to what Maria Montessori believed children should know about how plants work.
Thanks to 18 impressionist paintings, children are led to understand how plants work and how they are connected to all the other living organisms on this planet. The concepts that many children have mastered through the presentation of the timeline of life and botanical nomenclature will be further reinforced by the discovery that all living things are governed by the same rules as the rest of the universe.
Every organism strives not only to survive and adapt to its environment, but also to constantly improve the environment for future generations. Our individual existence as human beings is ultimately tied to the seemingly unimportant task of plants that turn sunlight into food.
