The most accurate and up-to-date life timeline on the market! We created our timeline and continue to update it with information from scientists at the Smithsonian Institute and Columbia University. True to our "Total Montessori" motto, each scientist has been handpicked so that in addition to their degrees, they also have Montessori credentials. This model still features colored lines to denote the different lineages, making it easy for kids to follow the evolutionary patterns that lead to modern animals. We even made it easy to spot the explosion of plant life in the Devonian.

Each lineage is clearly marked and accompanied by detailed images that beautifully illustrate the events that caused the different evolutionary patterns, such as the development of mammals. Also, all major extinction events are clearly marked, and we've included all glacial events, starting with the two major ones that occurred during the Proterozoic era. Abundant information allows children to understand the events that shaped the process of evolution. Discover how the Great Ice Ages and Great Extinctions changed phyla and species. What sets our timelines apart is their interconnection and consistency with other media. Thus, the pictures and lineage lines match those that students will find using the tree of life (cladistic model).

This timeline is available in two sizes. Please choose the option you prefer. Full size: 17" x 7.5 ft. Small size: 8.5" x 44". Now available as an iBook.
